According to a Pew Research study fewer Americans are choosing to drink from the firehouse of daily news coverage.
In 2016, 51% of those surveyed say they were keeping track of what’s happening in the world on a daily basis. The latest Pew survey says only 38% are bothering to keep up.
Pew’s numbers show a big decline in the number of Republicans following the news and that decline is attributed to a lack of trust in the news media. Another troubling number says only 27% of adults between 30 – 49 years old are following the news.
