In what some might call a deep dive, the Washington Post has a closer look at the effort to find new owners, interested in journalism, to buy the newspapers of the Tribune chain, in whole or in part.
This look into the story is seen mainly through the lens of the Baltimore Sun, but echoes some of what we have seen here in Connecticut, from current and former staffers of the Hartford Courant, who are hoping to preserve the paper’s reputation and role as an institution in the community.
