Patricia Del Rio, a reporter and fill-in anchor for WFSB, has announced she is resigning for family reasons.
She has been with the station for more than eight years and joined WFSB after taking several years off following the birth of her daughter. In a long post on social media, Del Rio said her daughter is now high school age and the next four years represent, “the most time she will be with us for probably the rest of our lives.” With that as background, Del Rio said she has decided to leave the station and search for something new, perhaps in television, but maybe not.
