As expected, former WFSBer Gayle King has re-signed with CBS to serve as the primary host for CBS This Morning.
King confirmed the news late Friday. Her current contract pays her $13 million per year. In recent weeks, it is reliably reported, King was approached by CNN to take over the 9p.m. hour left vacant with the firing of Chris Cuomo. She said, “no.”
In addition to CBS This Morning, King will serve as a lead anchor for a CBS Reports series on CBS’s streaming service. CBS Reports was once anchored by CBS legend Edward R. Murrow.
