WTNH meteorologist Ashley Baylor admonished a fellow meteorologist on the platform formerly known as Twitter for urging others to make the link – in their reporting – between the fires in Los Angeles and climate change.
Meteorologist Chris Gloninger has made a name for himself reporting on climate change and left one station after being harassed by conservatives for that reporting. He now serves as a weather consultant and has been offering himself for interviews as a subject matter expert.
Baylor responded to one of Gloninger’s posts urging him to stand down on the climate change talk until the fires are out.
While it is true that talk of climate change can push people into their political corners and create controversy; it is also true that wondering if the fires are related to climate change is a natural thought many people have and their curiosity cannot be suppressed.
