100 on-air personalities and writers are losing their jobs at Bristol based ESPN as the network cuts its workforce to stay lean in a changing market.
Employees began getting the word Wednesday with many posting notes to their fans on Twitter as their only opportunity to say goodbye. The news is tough for those losing their jobs but also for the city of Bristol and the state of Connecticut in an already tough economy.
