This year’s RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards illustrate just how much the news industry has changed in the internet age.

A look through the list of Region 10 winners (which includes Connecticut) shows WTNH-TV won an award for “sound” for a story on ice fishing and WNPR-FM won an award for video related to the station’s coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. WNPR also won in the continuing coverage category for its long running series on Puerto Rico following the hurricane.

The full list can be found on the RTDNA website…scroll to Region 10.

Congratulations to all the winners, most of whom lived up to Murrow’s standards without smoking on the job. Another change.
