An item from CTbytheNumbers is sure to get people talking in the broadcast and political world in the aftermath of last week’s conviction of former governor and WTIC radio host John Rowland.
It appears the station’s license renewal is languishing in what is called an “enforcement hold.” There is no indication why the hold has been put in place or when it might be lifted, but in recent weeks several critics of WTIC-AM have suggested the station might be sanctioned for allowing Rowland to use his show to promote the congressional campaign of Lisa Wilson-Foley.
