The Featherweight, a film about Connecticut boxer Willie Pep, has debuted to positive reviews at the Venice Film Festival.
The movie stars James Madio as Pep and follows his story as he attempts a comeback at age 42. We don’t have information on a U.S. premiere date. The producers are seeking a U.S. distributor.
Much of the movie was filmed in the Hartford area.
