The first debate of the 2014 gubernatorial campaign takes place tonight in Norwich, but there will be no live television coverage.
The room at Norwich Free Academy has been sold out, according to reports. The debate is being hosted by the Norwich Bulletin and the paper plans to post video of the event on its website Thursday. According to the Bulletin, the economy may be the main focus of this evening’s contest.
Candidates Dannel Malloy and Tom Foley are familiar with each others’ debate styles and tactics having faced off at least three times during the 2010 campaign which Malloy won by about 6,000 votes.
