After 30 years, Nanci Hutson, a reporter for the Danbury News-Times, is headed for Arizona for a job with the Prescott Daily Courier.

Hutson is originally from Florida and described her life changing move to Connecticut in an email to staff:

When I came to The News-Times from my home state of Fla. I was a natural blonde, wore no wedding ring as I still had yet to meet my handsome prince and the acronym PTO was as alien to me as a UFO. Three decades later, my blonde hair is the magic of science, my wedding ring slipped on my finger 26 years ago by a former NT sports editor had a matching family ring representing the two beautiful daughters we raised together at our first and only home not far from the Northville School where the PTO became part of my DNA.

Hutson went on to say she is grateful she’s able to continue her journalism career despite the declining state of the industry in general. We wish her the best.
