Bob Rockstroh is out as news director at ratings-challenged Citadel Communications-owned WLNE-6-ABC in Providence (Market #53), according to a tipster.
Rockstroh was hired in Dec. 2011 on the bounce from Tribune’s WTIC-61-Fox in Hartford (Market #30), where he had resigned following Shelley Sindland’s “Big Boob Fridays” age and gender discrimination lawsuit.
His replacement will be WLNE’s fifth news director since Citadel acquired the station two years ago.
This man ruined the broadcasting careers of several really good veteran reporters/anchors during his time at Fox 61. Oh well, guess what goes around, comes around….why do stations keep hiring this fool?
