WFSB Sports Director Joe Zone has signed a four-year contract with the station. He’s worked at channel 3 since 2006, and the year his new deal is up will mark 50 years in broadcasting for him (yes, 50). It began in 1973 when he covered Syracuse hockey on 5-thousand watt radio station WOLF. Broadcasting has taken him around the country but his tenure in the Hartford-New Haven market has been a relatively long one.
