Ron Fournier of National Journal is an interesting case study of a former straight news/political reporter who has moved into commentary and turned against someone he once admired.
As recently as a few months ago Fournier admitted on Sunday television that there was a time last year when he would have considered leaving journalism to work for Hillary Clinton and her campaign for the White House.
Fournier has known both Bill and Hillary Clinton since their time in Arkansas. In recent months he has decided Hillary cannot be trusted and is unfit for the Oval Office. He now uses his platform at National Journal to maintain consistent pressure on the Clinton campaign and the candidate herself.
