According to one trade publication, 21st Century Fox’s interest in Tribune Media television stations has more to do with the future of streaming than Tribune’s broadcast properties as they operate today.
Bidding for Tribune Media is scheduled to close Thursday. Fox and Sinclair Broadcast Group are the main known competitors. Tribune Media owns Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
