Former WFSB reporter Melissa Francis, who went on to work for CNBC, Fox Business and Fox News, has reportedly settled with Fox over a gender pay discrimination lawsuit.
According to the Washington Post, Fox agreed to pay Francis $15 million, although quotes in the Post article from Fox and the New York Labor Department add some uncertainty to the story.
The article does clearly explain why Francis disappeared from the Fox airwaves a year and a half ago and provides some detail into her own research on questions surrounding the pay scale for on-air talent at Fox.
Early last year Francis posted a Tweet that led to speculation she had found a way back into the media world, but since then it has been radio silence.
