We end the week with the announcement of a significant retirement at WTNH.
Engineer Chuck Wagner is leaving the station after 23 years and 47 years in broadcasting. That’s longer than Ann Nyberg! Based on this Tweet and photo – we think Chuck’s spirit will live on in the work of producer Melissa Warner.
The fallout continues at CNN following this week’s dismissal of Jeff Zucker.
Among other things, it now appears his departure was not voluntary, as first spun. Some talent is upset while others are not. Some are taking the opportunity to call for the firing of Brian Stelter. The connection to the recent firing of Chris Cuomo is being reconsidered by inquiring minds for deeper meaning.
With malice toward none, the hand-wringing of the rich and famous reminds us of a song.
