Rounding out the week, we’ve learned former WTNH reporter Jacquie Slater has decided to leave TV news for now. She’s been with WNYT in Albany since 2018. Slater made the announcement on social media.

The Alden Global Capital owned New York Daily News is planning to outsource its printing. The move comes just a few months after former Hartford Courant publisher Andrew Julien took over as executive editor. The Daily News is under increasing pressure to reduce costs. Both the Courant and the Daily News are Tribune Publishing properties owned by Alden. There are the predictable claims by some that this means the end of civilization, but we think that is probably not the case.

Wolf Blitzer is the latest CNN personality to be given a nightly news show on the network’s soon to be launched streaming service CNN+.

Washington Post reporter Robert Costa is leaving the paper to become chief campaign and elections reporter for CBS News. Costa spent much of the last year co-authoring a book about the final days of the Trump administration with Bob Woodward. He is no stranger to TV, serving as a regular contributor on NBC’s platforms and as host of Washington Week on PBS.

We would not want to be the manager in charge of giving out titles at any of the major networks.
