Someone at Noticiero Telemundo may have been watching earlier this year when CBS News State Department correspondent Margaret Brennan, produced, shot and engineered her own liveshot from Iraq for a segment on CBS This Morning.
Monday night, Telemundo will produce a newscast gathered entirely using smartphones and tablets.
It is being billed as an example of a complete embrace of new technology and could very well be a look into how TV news is done in the future. As Laurel readers know, the apps exist allowing anyone to shoot and edit on many digital devices, and with practice, reporters are getting better and better at it.
