Leon Collins had the best sign off of any reporter in Connecticut that I can remember. He used to always say the station name with such enthusiasm such as with WFSB he would say “reporting live from Old Lyme Leon Collins EYEwitness news!”
I loved him on News Channel 8 and he was great at 3 so where ever he is going from here on out I only wish him the very best!
I watch a different evening newscast now that Leon is gone.
WFSB is losing good people left and right Traffic reporter. Rachel Lutzker and now Leon. (SAD) I liked both of them!! He was one hell of a reporter and I liked his style.
Hope Leon gets a new gig somewhere here in CT.
I was very sad as well to tune into WFSB to find out that Leon was no longer on the air…. I agree channel 3 has lost some really great people…. if anyone locates Leon… I would really like to know. WE LOVE U LEON!!!

It appears that WFSB is racist, Black casters are quietly dismissed, but you allow a gay meteroogist free reign to walk and disurb other ologist set, for instance cowbell, traffic reportingetc… if you want viewers showcase minorities, dont hate Obama is your president
Keep veteran minorities as newscasters, get rid of the ” Old” Terzi, Haney, crew Leon Collins was the best
