Joe D’Ambrosio, longtime Connecticut sports broadcaster and “Voice of the UConn Huskies”, turns 60 this week and the milestone did not go unnoticed. A surprise birthday party marked the occasion with proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Joe has battled the disease much of his life and is a big supporter of the organization). At the Pond House in Hartford this past week were SNY’s Meghan Pattyson-Culmo, NBC CT’s Gerry Brooks, Angelo Culmo, Joe D., NBC CT’s Kevin Nathan, WTIC-am’s Ray Dunaway and NBC CT’s Jeff Stoecker.
