Ed Lescoe, a long-time news tipster on police and fire activities to Connecticut newsrooms has died at age 74.
A life-long resident of the Hartford region, he worked as a photographer for the Hartford Times before spending his career in firefighting and emergency services. He never lost his interest in news however and for several decades monitored his police scanners and would call in tips on fires and other emergencies. If it came from Ed, you knew it was news.
