Chicago Tribune Managing Editor Chrissy Taylor has left the paper. Her departure was announced at the end of last month. Taylor worked at the Hartford Courant as vice president of digital publishing before heading to Chicago.
Tonight(Tuesday) there’s a conversation about Latino Journalism in Connecticut moderated by UConn journalism professor Scott Wallace. The event is being held at the Old State House but is being streamed on Facebook Live at 7p.m. Panelists include: Hugo Balta of CT Latino News, Maricarmen Cajahuariinga from Boceto Media, Brenda Leon of Connecticut Public Radio and Werner Oyanadel of the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity.
Former NBC CT anchor Natalie Morales made an early appearance on CBS Mornings, Monday after the announcement that she left NBC News to co-host The Talk on CBS. The guest shot on CBS Mornings is leading some to speculate the former Today Show co-host will be used often on the show led by fellow Connecticut veteran Gayle King. We have no evidence to back up this speculation, but it’s out there.
