WFSB morning anchor Irene O’Connor is turning 50 this week and her early rising colleagues threw her a parade Monday morning outside the channel 3 studios to celebrate. Irene, who has also worked at Fox 61, in Providence and in Denver, is one of the longest serving news anchors currently on the air in Connecticut.
Happy Birthday Irene: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And may someone buy you a pint of Guinness at the Irish-American Home Society in Glastonbury.
