The death of former Hartford Courant reporter, columnist and editor Tom Condon is getting national notice one month later.
An article from Poynter.com notes that the CT Mirror, not the Courant, published the first obituary following Condon’s death and when the Courant did run a story it was a re-print from the Mirror.
One of the motivations behind the creation of the Mirror was the decline of the Courant. The Poynter article uses the Condon story as a hook for a discussion of new approaches to media collaboration.
