The Polish National Home in Hartford has been sold to a non-denominational church whose exact plans for the building have not been revealed. The organization plans to remain in existence, but where and under what format is in question.

This may seem like a real estate story, a development story, or a story about a decline in the Hartford area Polish population, but it is also a story with an impact on Connecticut journalists, especially those who work in the Hartford market.

For decades, the Polish National Home has been the go to location for newsroom going away parties, promotion parties, and retirement parties. And the Polish Plate(pictured below) was the meal ordered and usually paid for one by one at those occasions.
