Once again, the name Hearst reigns supreme in newspaper publishing. At least in Fairfield County in Connecticut.
Hearst Connecticut Media Group has announced the acquisition of The Hour newspaper in Norwalk and the Wilton Villager. This means all the major newspapers in Fairfield County are now owned by Hearst. The Connecticut group includes: the Danbury News-Times, Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Time and the Connecticut Post. About two dozen Hour staff will join Hearst Connecticut.
