Poynter.org (and yes, that’s how it is spelled spell-check!) has an analysis of how Hearst Connecticut Media is expanding.
The article notes the only place Hearst has failed to get a foothold is in Hartford where the Hartford Courant is still the dominant news force. But the idea that Hearst may have its eye on the Courant is embedded in the article along with this observation of Hearst’s 8 Connecticut dailies and 14 weeklies:
“All but the Danbury and Norwalk papers came from companies Alden now controls.”
