We were so sorry to learn that Helen Ahles has died. We knew her as the wife of our friend Dick Ahles, a longtime WFSB newsman/VP-turned-newspaper-columnist, but she had her own career in the Connecticut media world. According to her obituary, “Much of her working career outside her home had been with newspapers, on the advertising staff of The Hartford Courant and later, as a librarian at both The Courant and The Hartford Times.” She was a tremendous person and we send our sympathies to Dick and their sons.
