Andy Hiller, the veteran political reporter with Boston’s WHDH, is leaving the station after the election when his contract runs out. According to one report, Hiller is not retiring and may pop up somewhere else in the market.
Many Laurel readers may have encountered Hiller on the hunt for a story in that cross-over space between Hartford and Boston. He had a moment on the national stage back in 2000 when he stumped then Texas Governor George W. Bush by asking him to name several world leaders and Bush struggled with the answers.
