We often report on new hires on The Laurel so we don’t subscribe to the myth that there are no jobs in the news industry. The opposite seems to be the case, although pay and working conditions are often cited as complaints amongst those working in journalism.
This week we came across an ad for an expanding newsroom at the New York Sun. The site says it is growing its news and editorial writing staff.
Speaking of editorials; more than a year after Paul Choiniere left the Day of New London, the paper is still advertising for an editorial page editor.
Meanwhile, to the north in Hartford, CT Public(WNPR) has a number of job openings listed including a Latino communities reporter, a breaking news reporter in Fairfield County and a news editor position in Fairfield County. So far, there is no official listing for a new host for the morning talk show Where We Live.
