The Hartford Courant’s Greg Hladky announced Thursday morning that today is his last day there. Hladky covered environment, agriculture and food-related issues and politics.
While Greg did great work at the Courant, he also had a long, storied career at the New Haven Register as its lead Capitol reporter and at the New Mass Media/Advocate newspapers where he continued his political, government and investigative reporting. Many a politician feared the pointed questions he would ask at a press conference; he wasn’t trying to be anyone’s friend (though he had many of them).
This unfortunate news comes on the heels of yesterday’s news that reporter and columnist Peter Marteka is leaving The Hartford Courant.
