Clear Channel has seen into the future and has decided it’s on the Internet.
The company has decided to rebrand itself under the name of its on-line product iHeartMedia.
The company says the new name better reflects the scope of the company and its offerings.
Locally, Clear Channel owns WWYZ, WKSS, WHCN WPOP and WUCS in Hartford and WKCI, WELI and WAVZ in New Haven.
