This Thursday Don Imus is signing off for the last time.
Imus, as he is generally known, has been on the air nearly 50 years. A lot of that time he was simulcasting on radio and television.
During the late 80’s and into the ’90’s he had a large audience in Connecticut and broadcast one show from the Connecticut capitol during the administration of Governor Lowell Weicker – with whom he regularly traded good natured “insults.”
Anthony Mason of CBS profiled Imus, a former resident of Westport, for Sunday Morning.
