Joe D’Ambrosio: Heaven Sent

You don’t have to be Catholic to like WJMJ Radio, operated by the church’s Office of Radio & Television. They play classic oldies and over the years have hired some Connecticut radio greats:  Steve Savino, Jerry Kristafer, Glenn Colligan, Floyd Wright, Greg O’Brien, and Nancy Barrow.

Joe D’Ambrosio will be joining the ranks. On Saturday afternoons from 2pm-6pm he’ll be spinning the tunes, in what he describes as a return to his radio roots; in the summer of ’78 he did the same at Old Saybrook radio station WLIS.

Of course we’d love to hear the former “Voice of the Huskies,”  who left the WTIC-AM morning show late last year, return to sports broadcasting at some point. For now we know Joe D. will have a great time with this gig.
