Father’s Day is an important day for WFSB 3 anchor Kara Sundlun, who grew up not knowing her dad, two-term governor of Rhode Island Bruce Sundlun. At age 17, Kara filed a paternity suit that led Gov. Sundlun to fully accept her as his daughter; her subsequent journey with Sundlun was “messy and difficult, but the happy ending is why [she] wrote a memoir called Finding Dad: From Love Child to Daughter.” The memoir is due out this upcoming fall.
Kara joined Channel 3 in 2000 and in addition to anchoring, co-hosts Better Connecticut with Scot Hanley. Read about her experience connecting with her father here.
