Eric Lipton, a former Hartford Courant and Washington Post reporter, shares the by-line on Tuesday’s New York Times story about Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee.
The story is the most comprehensive public account so far of what happened and how Russian operatives used the American news media – including the New York Times – to disrupt or influence the U.S. presidential election.
Completely unrelated to the Times story(but falling under the category ‘Keeping Tabs’), Tucker Carlson, who attended Trinity College in Hartford, is doing well as the new host of the 7p.m. hour on the Fox News Channel. He is beating CNN and MSNBC in the same time slot and out-performing previous host Greta Van Susteren by double digits as compared to last year’s numbers.
