When news of the firing of Matt Lauer broke Wednesday morning it didn’t take long for Ann Curry to come to mind.
What would she have to say? What did she know?
The former Today Show co-host, who held the position for one year, lives in Connecticut as do many New York based television news personalities. Her dismissal from the Today show was a category five disaster no matter what you thought of her performance as host. Her public humiliation was fully avoidable and should be used as a teaching aide in human resources classes as an example of what not to do when you are letting someone go. Though he denied it, many believed Lauer was behind her firing.
In a previously scheduled interview with People magazine Wednesday Curry would only say she is still processing the news of Lauer’s alleged sexual misconduct.
