Some unfortunate news for Connecticut radio as a result of Entercom’s announcement of furlough, layoffs and salary reductions at its more than 230 radio stations amid the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • After 21 years, 93.7’s Nancy Barrow’s position on “The Hot Morning Crew” has been eliminated. Barrow posted a video explaining the news on Instagram.
  • Music director and evening host Dean Richards, the 28-year radio veteran at 100.5, has been let go.
  • Lisa Gold and Sheila Axelson, who worked behind the scenes at all four Entercom Connecticut stations, were also laid off.

Some other notable Entercom layoffs:

We thank all these professionals on behalf of the listeners who never got to say goodbye to them.
