The person who will be representing the Lamont Administration in its day-to-day dealings with the news media has just been announced; Maribel La Luz will serve as Communications Director for Governor-elect Ned Lamont.
She will report to recently-named Senior Advisor Colleen Flanagan Johnson.
Maribel comes to the Lamont Administration from the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) where she served as Director of Communications, reporting to the President and managing strategic communications for 17 higher education campuses and institutions throughout the state.
Maribel is no stranger to daily press interaction as she formerly served as Communications Director for the City of Hartford during the tenure of Mayor Pedro Segarra.
