A Superior Court judge has ruled WFSB reporter Kim Lucey will not have to testify in an on going murder case.
The defense wanted Lucey to testify how she was able to learn that the defendant was a suspect before police released the information to the public. The judge has ruled Lucey does not have to take the witness stand because she is protected under Connecticut’s shield law written to ensure reporters do not have to reveal their sources.
