Connecticut is blessed with several small news organizations that rely in one way or another on donations from users.
None is as scrappy as CT News Junkie, which has been operating since 2005. Driven much of that time by the pure tenacity and never-give-upness of Doug Hardy and Christine Stuart.
Once again, the website is making a plea for financial support to keep the operation going, growing and innovating. Hardy posted last week and made a compelling argument for the need to support grassroots journalism as a vital community asset.
