Annie Karni and Ted Mann were married Saturday. Ryan Downer, a childhood friend of the bride who became a Universal Life minister for the occasion, officiated at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple.
The bride, 32, is keeping her name. She is a reporter based in New York for Politico, the political news site, and is covering Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign. She graduated from Haverford College.
She is the daughter of Barbara S. Karni and Edi Karni of Baltimore. The bride’s father is the Scott and Barbara Black Professor of Economics at Johns Hopkins University. Her mother is a freelance editor.
The groom, 34, is a reporter for The Wall Street Journal in New York, where he covers large corporations. He graduated from New York University.
He is a son of Frederick G. Mann of Wayne, Pa., and Robin Mann of Rosemont, Pa., and a stepson of Nicole Mann. The groom’s father is the vice president for communications at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton, N.J.
