The Laurel has learned NBC CT reporter/anchor/host Leslie Mayes is no longer with the station. Colleagues were told of the change internally.
Mayes is a native of Washington, D.C. and joined NBC CT in 2015. While there she created and served as host for a public affairs program called Connecticut in Color, which focuses on issues affecting communities of color in Connecticut.
Laurel readers have been asking about her absence since last month.
