FCC chair and Wesleyan University graduate Jessica Rosenworcel has rejected a call by a Florida man for CBS to lose its license because of a 60 Minutes interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. The man posted on his social media account that CBS edited the interview to make Harris “look better.” In a statement issued at the end of the week Rosenworcel denounced what she call “threats against free speech.”

New Haven Alderman Tom Ficklin died last week at the age of 75. Ficklin was a “ubiquitous” presence in New Haven according to the New Haven Independent. He hosted a radio show on WNHH and previously hosted a show on WYBC.

When CNN anchor Jake Tapper was asked how he manages to write books while also working more than full time at the network, he answered that he sets aside time each day to write at least one page. If you do that every day for a year, by the end of the year, you have a book.
That seems to be the approach taken by Hartford public relations advisor Dan Tapper who announced on social media last week that he has completed the manuscript for a book after setting aside time to write for 77 days straight. The book is 360 pages long and he said in his post he has “no idea what I’m going to do with it now,” but he likes being able to say he did it. Often in life, trying is succeeding.
