Former Chester, Connecticut resident and CBS newsman Morley Safer was remembered during a memorial service in New York City Thursday.
Many current and former CBS News staffers and company leaders were on hand.
Safer died in May. He had been in broadcasting, including his time at the CBC in Canada, for 61 years. He spent 45 years at 60 Minutes.
