A bit lost in the coverage of the fate of Brian Williams and the rise of Lester Holt is the news about coming changes at MSNBC.
Advancing the story, the Washington Post reported Friday that the decision to move Williams to the cable network is also part of a plan to reinvigorate MSNBC by making it more like CNN and less like Fox News.
Under the plan, the Post reports, only four current hosts are sure to stay in the line up: Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow.
It would seem the network has no where to go but up. During an average day about 334,000 people are tuned in. That’s about the size of “the population of Bakersfield, California,” according to the Post.
