Connecticut reporters found themselves at the scene of a national story Wednesday as President Trump addressed graduating cadets at the Coast Guard Academy in New London.
It wasn’t just the presence of the president that made the event national news, it was the content of the president’s remarks. Despite the setting, the president found a way to make his speech to the graduates about him and advance the national story about the crisis of confidence surrounding his administration.
