Shirley Chan, most recently of the Fox station in Boston, has been hired by NBC Connecticut to anchor the weekend morning shows. She replaces Anjuli Porter who left for L.A. this summer. Prior to working at WFXT in Boston as an anchor/reporter, Shirley worked on-air in the Springfield market, but before that spent ten years as a producer at The Today Show.
And in other NBC Connecticut news…Tuesday was Yvonne Nava’s last day before maternity leave. Monica Buchanan is filling in for her now and we’re told others may do so as well.
