NBC CT is taking full advantage of the fact that its network is carrying the Summer Olympics coverage. The station has announced its plans for the games– 272.5 hours of London Olympic coverage over 17 days– calling it the most extensive coverage ever provided by an Olympic broadcast network. Kevin Nathan will broadcast live from London, emphasizing CT local athletes, coaches and fans who will be at the games, while at home WVIT will have a daily 30 minute show with highlights of the day as well as social media updates, posts and blogs from its website. WVIT boasts it will be Connecticut’s “destination for all things olympics” as any local station in their shoes would be… especially when it helps to increase ratings…
